- Your Business and where it appears in the DirectoryYour Business record and its Directory presence are connected, but they are not the same thing. One represents the Business in ETL; the other is how that Business is presented to people browsing the Directory.

Featured
Featured visibility and how it differs from Official Partner.
- Featured vs. Official Partner: What’s the difference?Featured provides additional visibility for a Business. Official Partner is a separate East Texas Locals relationship that includes a protected Category designation. One does not automatically create the other.
- What does Featured mean on East Texas Locals?Featured is an East Texas Locals visibility feature that can give a Business additional prominence. It is separate from ordinary Directory presence and from the Official Partner program.
Official Partner
The Official Partner relationship and protected Categories.
- Directory Categories vs. your Official Partner CategoryOrdinary Directory Categories help customers discover Businesses. An Official Partner Category is a separate protected designation connected to an approved Official Partnership.
- Does asking about Official Partnership reserve a Category? No. Asking about a Category, expressing interest, or beginning the Official Partner process does not by itself reserve that Category.
- I paid—when is my Official Partner status active?Payment confirmation and active Official Partner status are related, but they are not the same thing. If you have paid and your Partner status does not appear active, contact ETL before attempting another payment.
- What is an East Texas Locals Official Partner?Official Partner is a year-round relationship between an approved Business and East Texas Locals that includes an exclusive Category designation, expanded visibility, and additional Partner opportunities.
- Why ETL manages your Official Partner CategoryThe Category tied to an Official Partnership is protected and managed by East Texas Locals. It cannot be changed like an ordinary Directory Category from the Business account.
- Why there is only one Official Partner per CategoryEast Texas Locals allows one active Official Partner per Category, site-wide. The exclusivity applies to the Official Partner designation, not to ordinary Directory listings.
