Why available features can differ by Business

Not every Business has the exact same ETL setup

The features and Directory coverage available to a Business can depend on the relationships and benefits currently connected to that Business.

Membership may contribute to what is available, but it is not always the only factor.

Applicable Official Partner benefits, approved additions, and other ETL-provided access may also contribute to the Business’s available features or coverage.

That is why simply knowing that a Business has a Membership does not always tell you everything that may be available to it.

Business features and user permissions are separate

There is an important difference between what a Business has available and what a particular user is allowed to manage.

For example, a feature might be available to the Business while a Manager does not have permission to change that part of the Business.

Your role is therefore checked separately from the Business’s available features.

Business Owners generally have broader Business responsibilities. Managers have a more limited role and cannot manage Membership or billing.

Why two people may see different options

Two people connected to East Texas Locals may not always see the same available actions.

They may be working with different Businesses, those Businesses may have different features or coverage, or the users may have different roles.

That difference does not automatically mean something is wrong.

What if you expected a feature and don’t see it?

First, make sure you are working with the correct Business and that your account has the appropriate role for what you are trying to do.
