Your Business Profile represents your Business on ETL

Every Business in East Texas Locals has its own identity. Your Business Profile is the customer-facing information connected to that Business and is an important part of how your Business is represented throughout ETL.

Think of the Business itself as the main record that everything else connects to. Your profile helps describe that Business, while other East Texas Locals features determine things such as where and how it may appear within the Directory.

Your Business Profile and Directory presence are connected—but they aren’t the same thing

Having a Business Profile does not mean every part of your Directory presence is determined by the profile itself.

Your Business information, the Categories connected to your Business, the Coverage Areas available to it, and its actual Directory placement all work together, but each serves a different purpose.

That distinction is important because changing information about your Business does not necessarily change where the Business is eligible to appear in the Directory.

Managing your Business information

People who are authorized to work with a Business can use the Business-facing areas of East Texas Locals to review and maintain the information available to them.

Keeping that information current helps customers understand who you are and helps prevent outdated Business information from remaining part of your ETL presence.

Your account only gives you access to Businesses you are authorized to manage. Simply signing in does not give an account access to every Business in East Texas Locals.

If something doesn’t look right

If you see Business information that appears incorrect, start by checking whether you have an available way to update it.

If an important detail is wrong and you cannot correct it, or if you believe your account should be able to manage a Business but cannot, use East Texas Locals Support so we can look at the specific situation.
