Why there is only one Official Partner per Category
East Texas Locals allows one active Official Partner per Category, site-wide. The exclusivity applies to the Official Partner designation, not to ordinary Directory listings.
One Category, one active Official Partner
The Official Partner program is built around Category exclusivity.
East Texas Locals allows one active Official Partner per Category, site-wide.
That means a Category does not get a separate Official Partner spot for each city or Coverage Area.
Other Businesses can still appear in the Category
Official Partner exclusivity does not mean only one Business can appear in that Directory Category.
Other eligible Businesses can still have ordinary Directory listings and visibility in the same Category.
What remains exclusive is the Official Partner designation itself.
For example, several roofing Businesses can appear in the Roofing Category, but only one Business can hold the active East Texas Locals Official Partner designation for that Category.
Why Category availability matters
Because there can only be one active Official Partner in a Category, availability matters when a Business is considering partnership.
If another Business already holds that active designation, ETL cannot give the same Category's Official Partner designation to a second Business at the same time.

Category exclusivity is different from Featured
Featured visibility does not occupy or reserve the Official Partner spot for a Category.
Featured and Official Partner remain separate offerings, even when both increase a Business’s visibility within East Texas Locals.
