These Terms of Use govern your use of the East Texas Locals public website and directory. By using the site, you agree to these terms. They apply to the current Version 1 directory experience and do not create paid membership, subscription, or billing terms.

Informational directory

East Texas Locals publishes directory information to help people discover local businesses. Content is provided for general informational purposes. We do not guarantee that every Business detail, category assignment, hour, address, phone number, or other listing attribute is complete, current, or error-free at all times.

Visitors should independently evaluate businesses before hiring, purchasing from, or relying on them.

Inclusion is not endorsement

Inclusion of a Business in the directory is not, by itself, an endorsement, certification, warranty, or ranking of quality, licensing, insurance, pricing, or suitability for your needs.

Official Partners

“Official Partner” status reflects a relationship designation with East Texas Locals for a category. It is not a guarantee of business performance, pricing, licensing, or customer satisfaction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the website, including by:

  • attempting to disrupt, scrape abusively, or overload the service
  • accessing administrator areas without authorization
  • using the site to transmit malware, spam, or unlawful content
  • misrepresenting your identity or affiliation in communications with East Texas Locals
  • copying substantial site content for competing directory use without permission

Intellectual property

The East Texas Locals name, logos, site design, and original editorial content are owned by East Texas Locals or its licensors. Businesses remain responsible for the accuracy of information they provide for publication. You may browse and share individual public pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reuse the directory as a whole as a competing product without written permission.

Business profiles and other pages may link to third-party websites, social profiles, or contact methods. East Texas Locals does not control those third-party sites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or services.

Disclaimer and limitation

THE WEBSITE AND DIRECTORY CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EAST TEXAS LOCALS DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EAST TEXAS LOCALS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE OR RELIANCE ON DIRECTORY INFORMATION. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE WEBSITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF TEN U.S. DOLLARS (US $10) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ETL SPECIFICALLY TO ACCESS THE PUBLIC WEBSITE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (WHICH IS TYPICALLY ZERO FOR ORDINARY PUBLIC BROWSING).
