Featured vs. Official Partner: What’s the difference?

They are two different East Texas Locals offerings

Featured and Official Partner can both increase a Business’s presence within East Texas Locals, but they work differently.

The easiest way to remember the difference is:

Featured = additional visibility

Official Partner = a distinct partnership relationship with a protected Category designation

A Business can have one without automatically having the other.

What Featured does

Featured is a visibility feature.

It can give a Business additional prominence within eligible parts of East Texas Locals, but it does not create an Official Partner relationship.

Being Featured also does not reserve or occupy the Official Partner position for a Category.

What Official Partner means

Official Partner is a separate relationship between a Business and East Texas Locals.

An approved Official Partner receives the Official Partner designation for its approved Partner Category.

Only one active Official Partner can hold a particular approved Category designation at a time across East Texas Locals.

That exclusivity applies to the Official Partner designation—not to every Business that may appear in the ordinary Directory Category.

Other Businesses can still appear in the Category

Having an Official Partner does not mean every other Business in that type of work disappears from the Directory.

Other eligible Businesses may still be listed and promoted within the same ordinary Category.

The difference is that only one Business can hold the Official Partner designation for that approved Category at a time.

Featured does not reserve an Official Partner Category

Purchasing or receiving Featured visibility does not give the Business a future claim to an Official Partner Category.

Likewise, simply requesting information about Official Partnership does not reserve a Category.

Official Partner Category availability and the steps required to establish the relationship are handled separately.
