Understanding your East Texas Locals Membership

Membership belongs to the Business

An East Texas Locals Membership is connected to a Business rather than simply to the person who signs in.

That matters because your personal account, your access to a Business, and the Membership connected to that Business are different parts of the ETL experience.

Your account identifies you. Your Business access determines which Businesses you are allowed to work with. Membership can help determine which features and Directory coverage are available to the Business itself.

Membership can affect what is available to your Business

Depending on the Business’s current ETL relationship, Membership can contribute to the features and coverage available to it.

That can include parts of the Business’s Directory presence and other supported Business features.

Membership is not necessarily the only thing that can affect what is available. Applicable Official Partner benefits and other ETL-approved additions may also contribute to a Business’s available features.

Your role still matters

Even when a feature is available to the Business, that does not automatically mean every person connected to the Business can manage it.

Business Owners and Managers have different permissions.

For example, Managers can help work with an authorized Business but do not manage the Business’s Membership or billing.

So there are really two separate questions:

What is available to the Business?

and

What is this person allowed to do with it?

Those answers may be different.
