Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
East Texas Locals (“ETL,” “we,” “us”) operates a public local business directory website. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled for the current Version 1 public website and administrator tools. It does not describe future member accounts, subscriptions, or billing products.
Information public visitors may provide
Most visitors can browse the directory without creating an account. If you choose to contact East Texas Locals using contact details published on this website (such as a footer phone number or email address), you provide whatever information you include in that message. We use that information to respond to your inquiry.
Version 1 does not provide a public account registration or a website contact form that stores inquiry submissions in our database.
Public Business profile information
Business listings and profiles on East Texas Locals may display publicly intended information such as business name, description, phone number, public email, website, social links, address details, hours, photos, and directory category/city placements. That information is published so visitors can discover and evaluate local businesses.
Administrator and private Business operations information
Authorized East Texas Locals administrators manage directory content through a protected Admin area. In addition to public profile fields, administrators may store private operational fields such as internal notes and private ETL contact details for relationship management. Those private fields are not shown on public Business profiles.
Administrator access requires authentication. Session cookies and related authentication state are used to keep Admin sessions secure while an administrator is signed in.
Technical and log information
Like most websites, our hosting and application infrastructure may process standard technical information needed to deliver pages securely and reliably (for example, IP address, browser type, request timestamps, and similar server logs). We do not operate a separate advertising-tracking pixel system as part of the Version 1 public website code in this repository.
Service providers
East Texas Locals uses third-party infrastructure to run the website, including database, authentication, and file storage services (currently Supabase) and web application hosting. Those providers process information only as needed to operate the service under their own terms and security controls.
Some administrator-only research tools may call external search or language-model providers when explicitly enabled by ETL. Those tools are not part of ordinary public browsing.
Children’s privacy
The East Texas Locals directory is intended for a general audience seeking local business information. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Version 1 public website.
Correction and removal requests
If you are a business owner or representative and believe public listing information is inaccurate, outdated, or should be updated or removed, contact East Texas Locals using the contact details published in the website footer. We will review reasonable requests related to directory content we control.
Privacy contact
For privacy questions about this website, contact East Texas Locals using the email or phone number shown in the website footer when those details are published in Site Settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Version 1 website changes. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised policy applies to that ongoing use.
