What does Featured mean on East Texas Locals?
Featured is an East Texas Locals visibility feature that can give a Business additional prominence. It is separate from ordinary Directory presence and from the Official Partner program.

Featured is a visibility feature within East Texas Locals.
It can affect how a Business is highlighted or given additional prominence within eligible ETL experiences.
Featured works alongside a Business’s normal East Texas Locals presence rather than replacing it. A Business still has its Business Profile, Directory presence, Categories, Coverage Areas, and other applicable ETL features.
Featured is not the same as being listed
A normal Directory presence allows customers to discover Businesses through East Texas Locals.
Featured is something additional. It does not simply mean that a Business exists in the Directory.
That distinction is helpful when comparing Businesses that have an ordinary Directory presence with Businesses receiving additional Featured visibility.
Featured is also not Official Partner
Featured and Official Partner are two different East Texas Locals offerings.
Being Featured does not make a Business an Official Partner and does not give the Business the protected Official Partner designation for a Category.
It also does not reserve an Official Partner Category.
Official Partnership has its own Category rules and relationship with ETL.
